Meet Oliver! UPDATE FROM OLIVER: I was the first kitten to arrive at my foster home and now five kittens who got here after me have gone to their forever homes. Doesn't anyone want to love me? I'm a lap kitty who loves to jump up on a lap and relax and purr. I'm a little afraid of being picked up, but if you're patient with me I'll try to learn to trust you enough to let you pick me up. As you may be able to tell from some of my photos, I also love to find patches of sunlight where I can lie back and relax. Don't you have some patches of sunlight in your house where I can sunbathe? I think I would like to be an "only kitty" but a dog buddy might be ok.
Oliver was found when he was only two weeks old by a Beagle who was out sniffing for new smells. He is very athletic and not easily frightened by anything. Although he doesn't particularly love things like the vaccuum cleaner, he just moves to another room. You won't find him cowering under a bed. He has lived with foster dogs from time to time and doesn't seem to be intimidated by them at all. He is being fostered with other kittens, but seems more content when he has his own space and attention. If you are looking for an independent thinking cat who is affectionate without being clingy, Oliver is perfect for you.
